    Titles and Definitions

Some of our dogs have working titles and Champion designations with either NKC or UKC.  On this page, I will list the titles, their definitions and/or a link to the organization's website that awards such titles.

WB 1 (Working Bulldog 1) - is a title awarded by the ICA (Internation Catchdog Association) to a dog that will catch and hold a boar.

WB 2 (Working Bulldog 2) - is a title awarded by the ICA to a dog that will catch and hold a boar while working with bay dogs.

WB 3 (Working Bulldog 3) - is a title awarded by the ICA to a dog that has a catch in the woods.

BST 1 (Breed Suitability Test) - A temperament, obedience, and protection title awarded by the NWDA.  A description of the test is found here:  NWDA

WP1-3 (Weight Pull) - A weight pull title given by the NKC.  A breakdown of the percentages of body weight can be found here:  NKC Weight Pull Rules

UWP (United Weight Puller) - A UKC weight pull title.  A definition of the titles and rules for UKC can be found here:  UKC Weight Pull Rules

NKC Show Champion - To become a show champion a dog must earn a set number of points plus "Major" wins.  Champion Requirements are found here:  NKC Champion Requirements

UKC Show Champion - UKC shows are a bit different from NKC shows in that most are all breed shows and once your dog has won over the American Bulldogs in the show he/she then competes against the other Guardian Breeds.  Champion Requirements for UKC are found here:  UKC Champion Requirements
